The life of Scotty Nguyen, coming to your local bookstore soon!

This morning I was checking some e-mails, facebook and my twitterpage and stumbled upon this tweet: TheScottyNguyen ‘New Blog Post Baby! I Need A Writer For My Book Baby!’ I followed the link and it’s true. Scotty is looking for a writer to capture his life on paper.

And true to his nature, he wants to include his fans into the process. He made it somekind of a contest. You can mail him with your contact info and a sample of your writing. And maybe if you are good enough you will get the chance of writing down Scotty’s life. I believe whoever gets the job has to be a great writer. Scotty is looking for someone who can capture a lot of emotion in the book. And I believe that it must be very hard for the writer to capture the things Scotty had to endure before he became a famous poker player.

Scotty’s life hasn’t been easy, he had to flee from war-torn Vietnam. And when he finally was on his way to America, he almost had to watch how they would eat his brother out of pure famine. I really believe that it isn’t going to be easy to capture all of that emotion onto paper. So I think it has to be one hell of a writer.

At first I thought, why shouldn’t I send in my candidacy. But now that the first enthousiastic phase has faded, I’m a bit more realistic. I do not have any experience writing biographies. I only have some experience in writing academis essays. So I’m not going to do it. But if some of you want to give it a shot, go ahead!
