Player of the whatever. Play me boy!

For the third time in a row, my good friend Mickey C has become the Home Series of Poker Player of the Year after winning the big final last week. He also won the first FCOOP Player of the Championship title, so has gathered some nice accomplishments. Congrats, but also: yeah whatever. Most of these things have so much variance that luck in the end determines who takes it down. Even if you win ten more of these, which you won’t, I’ll still play you every day. And I hope you will play me too.

The first FCOOP

To also destroy our opponents on the online felt, Mickey and I decided to launch a new tournament concept. The Forumblik Championship Of Online Poker is similar to the SCOOP from PokerStars, but is created just for our Home Game on the website. So the amount of players is limited. The challenge stays the same though.

My worst poker tournament ever

Yesterday, it was time for HSOP Event 5: limit omaha8. It’s a poker variant that I like and I won the event back in 2009. I was looking forward to my third HSOP title this season, my sixth overall and to increase my lead as current HSOP Player of the Year leader. This all failed.

HSOP: title number five

Last Saturday, I won my fifth Home Series of Poker title. It was the inaugural Eight-game Championship, a mix of eight poker variants. My second win in four HSOP’s this season puts me also back in the lead for the Player of the Year race.

Lovin’ the game again
